As an iPhone owner, I understand how we all are restricted to perform some basic and essential modifications to this device. I got my first iPhone few months back only and believe me, I never felt so restricted ever in my digital life. Though it isone of the most amazingly crafted device ever existed till date, butI was dumbstruck when notification from any app results the same Tri-Tone music which is iPhone's default notification sound. What more surprising is, there was no way to change n otification sound for third-party apps.

To be very frank, there is no legitimate way to c hange notification sound for different apps but if you have Jailbroken iPhone, the whole world is there to make your wish come true. Pre-requisites To Set App Specific Notification Sound On iPhone :

Before proceeding further, make sure your device is Jailbroken. If you don't know what it is, your device is probably not Jailbroken.
Your iPhone should be running on iOs 8 or above.

How To Set Custom Sound For Third-party App :

Step 1 : Head over to Cydia and look for CustomNotificationSound tweak under infamous BigBoss Repo, good thing is – it's absolutely free. Install this tweak and restart Springboard.

Step 2 :The good thing about this tweak is, it is integrated into the Settings pane of each app which make a whole lot easier to change sound on the go.

Head over to Settings of app for which you wish to change notification sound -> Sounds -> Custom Sound. You can select from bunch of sounds.

How To Set App Specific Notification Sound On iPhone

Step 3 : I case you wish to set your own custom notification sound, head over to /System/Library/Audio/UISounds and place your custom sound there. This tweak is compatible withcar, m4a, aif, mp4 and wav formats (make sure the added sound is less than 30 sec).
