How To Fix Broken Mickey Ears

Amongst many other things, bringing a little piece of the magic home from your Disney vacation is something that many of us look forward to. Whether you're into apparel, home décor, toys, or collectibles, we always seem to find a way to fit and carefully pack those items up in order to get them home safely from our vacations.

But, what happens when you get home and take out that precious souvenir only to find that it's broken? Or, what if you were maybe a little too hard on that Ear hat and it's damaged? Sometimes, it's been a few years since you purchased your very favorite Disney coffee mug and you've dropped it on your tile floor and shattered it.

We have a few suggestions for you today that might just help with these predicaments.

First, whenever you purchase something at Disney that is your absolute favorite, love-it-more-than-anything-in-the-world, best souvenir EVER, be sure to take a photo of the tag that includes the SKU number. I'll explain why in a minute.

If you don't already have it, download the shopDisney app from your cell phone's app store. Surprisingly, something you bought many years ago might still be available for sale as a lot of the items sold are classics that stay around a while. If you don't see a suitable replacement, there is one more option to try.

Disney has a great resource that can help with all of your merchandise needs whether it's buying something new, replacing something old, or just seeing if they have a certain something that you may remember from a past trip. Merchandise Guest Services can be reached by calling ~~(800) 362-4533~~ (877) 560-6477 and the cast members there are incredibly helpful. When you call them looking for a specific item, it's best if you have that item's SKU because then the cast member can find information on what you're looking for in a hurry. I've had lots of luck with them finding items for me without a SKU number as well, so don't hesitate to ask. It's especially helpful if you can provide an exact description of the item.
